Committee Overview

In order to improve productivity and safety at construction sites, we are utilizing cutting-edge technology, introducing the vision of collaborative safety (Safety 2.0) to the construction industry, and promoting human resource development and technology standardization. Construction companies, specialist contractors, manufacturers, consultants, leasing companies, and other companies and organizations from various fields are participating, and we are also collaborating with overseas construction companies and safety research institutes, with the aim of realizing well-being in the construction industry.

ChairmanTakashi Kawata, IGSAP Director

Graduated from the Graduate School of Engineering, Okayama University, majoring in civil engineering. Joined Shimizu Corporation in 1980, and was involved in tunnel construction for the Shikoku Odan Expressway, Hokuriku Shinkansen, Musi Hydroelectric Power Plant (Indonesia), and Pahang Selangor Water Conveyance Tunnel (Malaysia). In 2018, he became Managing Executive Officer and General Manager of the Civil Engineering Technology Division. He is currently the representative of Kawada Consultant Office, and also serves as a part-time lecturer at Nihon University and Okayama University.
