Committee Overview
We promote the activities of the Institute for Global Safety Promotion (IGSAP) in terms of strategy, vision, structure, management, and internationalization. We provide and disseminate the latest information on safety, health, and well-being both in Japan and overseas, and cooperate widely with related organizations. We discuss safety, health, and well-being in companies from the perspective of managers and administrators, and support the realization of safety, health, and well-being management.
Graduated from the Department of Applied Physics, Faculty of Engineering, Osaka University, with a PhD in Engineering. Joined Panasonic in 1980 and IDEC in 1992, where he promoted the development of machine safety, functional safety, and collaborative safety as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). He participated in building the concept of collaborative safety originating from Japan, and is working to spread it around the world.
Honorary Advisor to IDEC Corporation and Chairman and CEO of Japan Certification Co., Ltd.
