Committee Overview

Commissioned by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the Institute for Global Safety and Security Promotion (IGSAP) is conducting feasibility studies to propose international standardization of collaborative safety. Based on the results of these studies, we are working on the standardization of collaborative safety in cooperation with overseas safety-related organizations.

(We work in partnership with other organizations on collaborative safety.)

ChairmanMasao Mukaidono, IGSAP Chairman

Completed doctoral course at Meiji University Graduate School of Engineering, Doctor of Engineering.
He has served as professor at Meiji University's School of Engineering, professor at the School of Science and Technology, director of the Information Science Center, and dean of the School of Science and Technology. His specialties are safety science, fuzzy theory, and multiple-valued logic. He has served as vice president of the International Association of Fuzzy Systems, president of the Japan Society for Fuzzy Theory and Technology, and president of the Japan Association for Reliability Engineering.
Received the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Award, the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare Award, the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Award, and the Prime Minister's Award (for contributions to safety).
He has served as chairman of the Product Safety Subcommittee of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, chairman of the Elevator and Other Accident Investigation Subcommittee of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, and advisor to the Consumer Affairs Agency.
He is an honorary professor and advisor at Meiji University, chairman of the Railway Technical Research Institute, and chairman of the Private University Information Education Association.

The International Committee for Standardization of Cooperative Safety is currently in recess.

Another organization is currently promoting a project to internationally standardize collaborative safety, and IGSAP is also sending personnel to that project.
