Committee Overview

We act as the central function for expanding the application of "Cooperative Safety," a new concept for ensuring safety in environments where humans and machines coexist, and "Safety 2.0," a technological measure for the same. We are developing the application of Safety 2.0, and are investigating and promoting its widespread adoption.

Graduated from the Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology, Tokyo University of Science, and completed a master's course at the Graduate School of Science and Technology, University of Tsukuba. Obtained a PhD from Osaka University. After serving as Group Leader of Integrated Intelligence Research at the Intelligent Systems Research Institute of the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology and Deputy Director of the Artificial Intelligence Research Center in the Field of Information and Ergonomics, he is currently Director of the Industrial CPS Research Center. He is involved in building a new collaborative system platform for humans and machines that balances safety and productivity.
