In recognition of the achievements and spirit of Dr. Masao Mukaidono, who dedicated himself to industrial safety in Japan and its advancement and dissemination, the Mukaidono Safety Award is presented to individuals and organizations that have contributed to the maintenance, improvement, advancement and dissemination of safety in the industrial field. The purpose of this award is to praise their achievements and to encourage those involved in industrial safety, thereby contributing to the promotion of safety at industrial sites both in Japan and overseas.
The Safety Associates Council (SA Council) of the Institute for Global Safety Promotion (IGSAP), a group of qualified individuals involved in the front lines of industrial safety, established the Mukaidono Safety Award in recognition of Professor Mukaidono's achievements in safety and his spirit and philosophy. IGSAP is responsible for promoting and managing the award.
