Privacy Policy

The General Incorporated Association, Institute for Global Safety Promotion (hereinafter referred to as "IGSAP"), is conducting various business activities to promote safety in the new trends of manufacturing such as Industry 4.0 and IoT, safety in non-manufacturing fields, and the dissemination of safety concepts to management. In the course of these business activities, IGSAP recognizes that it is an important responsibility to properly handle personal information managed by IGSAP.

For this reason, IGSAP will appropriately manage and use information that can identify a specific individual (hereinafter referred to as "personal information") collected through its business activities in accordance with the following principles regarding personal information protection, in compliance with relevant laws, regulations and guidelines.

Specifically, IGSAP will protect personal information collected in the course of its business activities through written, electronic, or website documents, including names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, place of employment, and other descriptions that can identify individuals (including information that cannot identify individuals by itself, but can be easily collated with other information to identify individuals).

Objective of obtaining personal information

IGSAP will use collected personal information only to the extent necessary for the purposes of carrying out the following business activities:

  1. Sending IGSAP newsletters, reports and other information
  2. Management of general meetings, board meetings, committee meetings, forums, lectures, exhibitions, events, etc. organized by IGSAP
  3. Management of our member organizations, councils, committees, etc., for which IGSAP serves as the secretariat
  4. Management of the IGSAP website
  5. Provision and distribution of various information held by IGSAP (journals, reports, specifications, etc.)
  6. Responses to inquiries and reports received by IGSAP
  7. To send notices, questionnaires, etc. from government agencies
  8. Other matters related to the operation of IGSAP

However, even if it is within the scope of the above-mentioned purposes, we will not use your personal information if doing so would be detrimental to you.

Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

Personal information collected by IGSAP will not be provided to third parties except in the following cases:

  1. When prior consent has been obtained from the individual
  2. When deemed necessary by law
  3. When it is necessary for the protection of a person's life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the individual's consent
  4. When it is particularly necessary for the improvement of public health or the promotion of healthy child development, and it is difficult to obtain the individual's consent
  5. When it is necessary to cooperate with a national government agency, local government, or a person commissioned by them in carrying out duties prescribed by law, and obtaining the individual's consent is likely to impede the performance of said duties

In accordance with the above, even when providing personal information to a third party, we will take measures such as restricting the purpose of use and taking other necessary measures, if necessary.

Management of personal information

We will strictly manage the personal information we obtain within the scope of the above-mentioned purposes of use, and will take security measures to prevent unauthorized access, loss, destruction, falsification, leakage, etc., and strive to ensure the safety of the management of personal information.
When outsourcing the handling of personal information to an external party, we will enter into a confidentiality agreement with the outsourcee and will manage and supervise the handling of such information.

Disclosure, correction, suspension of use, etc. of personal information

If an individual requests the disclosure, correction, or suspension of use of their personal information held by IGSAP, IGSAP will respond promptly within reasonable limits.
